INGREDIENTS

1 cup of fresh or frozen berries (not strawberries*)
½ cup of coconut milk
½ cup of water
½ a banana (frozen on prep day)
1 teaspoon of blackstrap molasses
1 teaspoon of Bestow Beauty Plus Oil

Week Two
1 tablespoon of Bestow Beauty Plus Oil

*Strawberries are a heating food and can inflame sensitive skin.

FOUR-WEEK GUT HEALING PROGRAMME

If you are serious about healing your gut and your skin we recommend you do the Bestow Love Your Gut Programme for four weeks. Bestow Product Quantities to Include in Your Bestow Love Your Gut Smoothie

Week One*:  1tsp Bestow Beauty Plus Oil, 1 tsp Bestow Beauty Powder, 1 tsp Bestow Gut Love + Powder
Week Two:  1 T Bestow Beauty Plus Oil, 1 tsp Bestow Beauty Powder, 1 tsp Bestow Gut Love + Powder
Week Three: 1 T Bestow Beauty Plus Oil, 2 tsp Bestow Beauty Powder, 2 tsp Bestow Gut Love + Powder
Week Four:  1 T Bestow Beauty Plus Oil, 1 T Bestow Beauty Powder,  1 T Bestow Gut Love + Powder

*If you have serious gut issues, we recommend you leave out the Bestow Beauty Powder and Bestow Gut Love + Powder (which both contain seed powders) in order to give your gut a total break from seeds for one week. You can then introduce one teaspoon of each powder in your second week and slowly build up to one tablespoon. Seeds are a highly nutritious food and a healthy part of a good diet, however they can sometimes be hard to digest for people with a very sensitive gut. Go gently and listen to your body.

NOTE: Sheryl loves to make this smoothie for the day and have it over two snack times, half for morning tea and half for afternoon tea. She finds it helps keep her blood sugar levels stable between meal times. Feel free to try this out if you are finding yourself hungry at mid to late morning.

NOTES

It contains liquorice, slippery elm, and L-glutamine to repair the gut wall, fibre-rich superfoods to promote elimination and a world class probiotic to rebalance the gut microbiome.  

This smoothie also features blackstrap molasses which contains a vast amount of minerals such as magnesium, calcium and manganese that all contribute to a healthy digestive tract. When you are not consuming dairy, calcium can be a difficult nutrient to get enough of, and molasses is an easy alternative source.
