Bestow Love Your Gut 7-Day Meal Preparation Plan

This plan is designed to make your 7-Day Bestow Love Your Gut Programme feel easy and well-organised.
Please be sure to read the ‘Tips’ tab as well.

Preparation Day

MEAL ELEMENTS AND RECIPES TO PREPARE AHEAD

The key to a successful programme is preparation. This makes today the most important day of the programme! We recommend you do your food shopping in the morning and then allow yourself two hours in the kitchen to pre-make the recipes and meal elements that will make your life easier in the days ahead.

Remember each recipe is designed for one person. If you are cooking for two, double the quantities in the recipes and meal elements accordingly.

ROAST PUMPKIN N SWEET POTATO SOUP

This makes two portions. Keep one in the fridge to be reheated for Healing Bowl Day 1 lunch. Freeze the remaining portion for dinner on Day 4.

TURMERIC CAULIFLOWER RICE

This makes approximately 1 1/2 cups. Use half  for Loaded Fries with Chicken and Pesto dinner on Day 1 and the remainder in your Healing Bowl Day 2.

CARROT & APPLE SAUTE

This can be made ahead or made fresh on the day depending on how much time you have in the mornings.

BANANAS FOR SMOOTHIES

Prepare frozen bananas for smoothies. Peel and chop 4 bananas. Divide equally into 8 individual snaplock bags to use in your Bestow Love Your Gut Smoothie each day of the programme. You will have one left over to use beyond the programme.

CHICKEN BONE BROTH

Make the Chicken Bone Broth in your slow cooker. Place 1/2 cup cooked chicken in fridge for Loaded Fries With Chicken and Pesto dinner on Day 1 and another 1/2 cup for the Healing Bowl Day 2. Place another cup of cooked chicken in the freezer to defrost on Day 2 ready for the Gut Healing Brekkie on Day 3 and 4. Freeze any remaining chicken for use after the 7-day programme.

CHICKEN BONE BROTH Continued…

Place two cups of bone broth in the fridge to use in the Roast Pumpkin & Sweet Potato Soup.

Place two cups of bone broth in the freezer to defrost on Day 2 ready for the Gut Healing Brekkie on Days 3 and 4.

Place one cup of liquid broth in the freezer for One Pan Chicken Sauerkraut, eaten on Days 3 and 4.

Freeze two cups of remaining broth for Mighty Meatball Broth on Day 5 dinner.

BESTOW CORIANDER PESTO

The pesto is used in the Loaded Fries with Chicken and Pesto and Healing Bowl Day 2.

SHOPPING

We recommend doing your shopping in the morning so you have plenty of time in the afternoon and evening to do all your preparation. Trust us, it makes for a much easier week!

PREP LUNCH

If you are heading out during the day tomorrow, save time in the morning by making your lunch tonight.  We recommend putting your Healing Bowl Day 1 (Roast Pumpkin and Sweet Potato Soup) in a sealable jar or container and storing it in the fridge.

BESTOW HERB DRESSING

Make the Bestow Herb Dressing which accompanies the Salmon Stuffed Sweet Potato dinner on Day 2 and Healing Bowl Day 3.

‘TIME FOR TEA’ RITUAL | ETERNITEA

The ‘Time for Tea’ ritual is an important part of your morning, even if you are out. Take your infuser and your packet of Bestow Eternitea with you so you don’t miss out this important break in your day if you are not home.

BESTOW LOVE YOUR GUT SMOOTHIE

If you are out today in the afternoon we recommend making your Bestow Love Your Gut Smoothie in the morning and taking it with you. As long as it in a sealed container and refrigerated it will remain fresh and yummy. Remember to get ahead of the 3pm blood-sugar drop!

PREP LUNCH

To save time in the morning, if you are heading out for the day, make your Healing Bowl Day 2 lunch tonight. Keep everything in the fridge until you are ready to eat. We recommend keeping the pesto separate so it doesn’t make the wraps go soggy.

Day Two

MEAL ELEMENTS TO PREPARE AHEAD

Remember each recipe is designed for one person. If you are cooking for two, double the quantities in the recipes and meal elements accordingly.

Defrost three cups of frozen Chicken Bone Broth and one cup of frozen cooked chicken.

You will divide two cups of Chicken Bone Broth and one cup of cooked chicken over the two days you have your Gut Healing Brekkie  (Days 3 & 4)

You will need one cup of Chicken Bone Broth for your One Pan Chicken and Sauerkraut dinner on Day 3.

COOK SWEET POTATO

You can can also boil one sweet potato ready to use in your Gut Healing Brekkie on Days 3 & 4. Alternatively bake it in the oven with your sweet potato dinner tonight.

BLANCH BROCCOLI

While you are preparing your broccoli for dinner, blanch an extra 5 florets of broccoli for lunch on Day 3. To blanch the broccoli simply place in a mug, pour over boiling water and leave for a few minutes. Drain and pour cold water over. Drain again.

LUMINOSITEA

Day Three

ROAST PUMPKIN N SWEET POTATO SOUP

This needs to be defrosted from the freezer. Leave on the bench overnight and then place in the fridge ready to be reheated for dinner tomorrow night.

Day Four

SHOP FOR DAY 5 TO 7 TODAY

MIGHTY MEATBALL BROTH

Defrost two cups of chicken bone broth from the freezer. Leave overnight on the bench and then place in the fridge in the morning to use in the Mighty Meatball Broth dinner on Day 6.

COOK ROOT VEGGIES

Boil half a cup of root veggies such as carrot and sweet potato to use in the Mighty Meatball Broth dinner.

SWEET POTATO AND BROCCOLI FRITTERS

Make fritters in advance for Day 5 breakfast and for the Healing Bowl Day 5 lunch.

COCONUT DRESSING

This yummy dressing accompanies the fritters for Day 5 breakfast and Healing Bowl Day 5.

BLANCHED BROCCOLI

To blanch the broccoli simply place in a mug, pour over boiling water and leave for a few minutes. Drain and pour cold water over. Drain again. This is to use in the Healing Bowl Day 5 lunch.

Bestow Beetroot Whip is used in the Healing Bowl Day 6 lunch.

SWEET CARROT & APPLE SAUTE
